Seating for films is free and available on a first-come, first-served basis in the 300-seat Meyer Auditorium, located in the Freer Gallery. Auditorium doors open approximately 30 minutes before each show.

Tickets for the AFI Silver Theatre can be purchased in advance or on the day of the film, both at the venue and online. The box office opens 30 minutes before the first film of the day. The theatre is not open to the public before that time. Tickets purchased online have no added fee and must be retrieved at the box office by presenting the credit card used in the transaction (American Express, Visa, MasterCard, or Discover). Refunds are offered only at the box office during the first 30 minutes of the film.
