Freer|Sackler Teen Council Application

The Freer|Sackler Teen Council is a group of twelve creative and dedicated high school students who help make the museums more welcoming and engaging for young people. The Teen Council plans and hosts events that bring DC-area teens to the museums to hang out, make and design art, and have unique and exciting experiences. Plus, we have a lot of fun and build an incredible community.

Use the "Tab" button—not the "Return" button—to jump from field to field. Using the "Return" button will submit the form.

Important Information

Members must attend all Teen Council meetings (second and fourth Thursdays from October 2017–June 2018) and one Saturday workshop a month.

If you think you would be a great fit, apply online before June 30, 2017, to join!

As renovation work continues in the Freer Gallery, the Sackler Gallery also will close on July 10, 2017. This museum-wide closure will allow us to completely reinstall our exhibitions and revitalize features to improve your visit. Both spaces will reopen on October 14, 2017, when we will welcome the public back to the Freer|Sackler: two galleries, one destination. For your safety, all visitors will have their bags checked. See the complete list of restricted items and bag sizes.
