A more comedic variation on the themes of his other 2013 film, Nobody’s Daughter Haewon (also playing on June 2), Our Sunhi also tells the story of a young woman’s romantic (mis)adventures. Jung Yu-mi (Train to Busan, Kim Ji-young: Born 1982) plays the title character, a former film student who returns to campus to pick up a reference letter and inadvertently stirs up romantic feelings in not one but three men: her former professor (Kim Sang-joong), her ex-boyfriend (Lee Sun-kyun, Parasite), and a grouchy visiting filmmaker (Jung Jae-young, Castaway on the Moon). The three men hilariously alternate between lame attempts to understand her and mansplaining her life choices, but in the end all they’re doing is comically projecting their own feelings onto her. (Dir.: Hong Sangsoo, Korea, 2013, 88 min., DCP, Korean with English subtitles)
