Elaborate gold pendants were worn as earrings or suspended from crowns. Tombs in the Kyongju area (capital of the Silla kingdom) yielded ear pendants similar to this pair (F1917.521-522).These pendants hang from hollow gold loops. Sheet-gold and beaded gold wire are combined to form elaborate but delicate designs.
